In 2008 I was contracted by the Sentinel newspaper in Stoke-on-Trent to take pictures of the on-going regeneration that was being carried out in the city.
In one area there were row upon rows of empty houses waiting for the demolition crews to come and start knocking them down. It was like a ghost town. I parked up in the middle of the street and set the mast up.
The only vehicles I saw while I was on site were a driving instructor who was using the deserted streets as his own private classroom and a bus which was still following the route through the estate that it always had.
